C) One Gallon
A typical load of dry clothes weighs about 12 pounds. However, the load will weigh about 20 pounds as it comes out of the washer. Therefore, the job of the dryer is to remove about one gallon (approx. 8 pounds) of water before the clothes are dry. It will not do that efficiently with out a good, safe venting system.
