Great Drier - until it Died

We bought this dryer along with it's matching washer as a Duet set. Both worked great and we really liked them, until Exactly 5 years to the Day we had them installed. The sealed bearings went out with no warning - just an Awful metal to metal squealing. The service technician said to buy another dryer. Unfortunately, it won't be a Whirlpool. Not to mention, this model is now discontinued.

already broken

we replaced a electric model and the lighter unit was cracked and quit working after 1 month. haven't seen the utility bills to see if it was worth it.

BEST Dryer I have ever owned or used!!

Bought this one month ago. I could not be happier with my purchase. Drys quicker and more completely than any dryer I have ever used. Even works with "mixed" loads.Has more "Bells-and-Whistles" than most will ever use.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer

I bought the Duet dryer to match the front load washer. I love using this dryer. My clothes come out of the dryer feeling very soft with few wrinkles. The steam cycle works well softening wrinkled shirts and slacks when you need this feature.

incredibly fast dryer

Can't figure out how to keep the drum light from turning itself on and leaving it on. I did figure out how to turn off the beeping each time I pushed a button, though.On the good side, this dryer is very efficient and fast!

The machine hands down beat our expectations!

We purchased the Whirlpool front load washer and dryer for our new home. We needed machines that would be quite, as our home is small and the laundry area is close to the living area. What a welcome experience, the units are exceptionally quite, and seem to be very economical to use. Since neither of us likes to iron the dryer is really welcome as our clothes come out wrinkle free! The steam feature of the dryer is great when I want to freshen a shirt.

I purchased the dryer less than a year ago and it gets medium use. The drying time is fairly quick. The clothes emerge mostly wrinkle free. The steam feature is nice for freshening up clothes though it is no substitute for ironing. Having the duet front loading washer and it's companion dryer makes laundry day a lot more pleasant - though I still don't enjoy the chore.
